The third season of The Learning Channel's hot series, Trading Spaces,
constructed a number of ratings records.
Running back-to-back episodes Sept. 7, TLC beat ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox among
women 18 through 49, 18 through 34, 18-plus and two-plus, according to the
Combined, the two hours of lifestyle programming attracted close to 6.3
million women viewers.
The 9 p.m. episode, 'Portland: Rosemont Avenue,' posted a 3.97 rating,
according to Nielsen Media Research data, making it the highest-rated primetime
show in the network's history. Moreover, its 3.39 average among adults 25
through 54 ranked third all-time for the channel.
The 8 p.m. episode, 'Maine: George Road,' generated a 3.2 household rating,
good for fourth in primetime overall on the network, while its 2.63 average
among adults 25 through 54 ranked seventh among that demo.
