Travel Channel has greenlit new seasons for eight of its original series and has set a premiere date for the eighth season of Bizarre Foods, the network said Wednesday.
The eight unscripted series getting renewals include the Big Time RV (season two); BBQ Crawl,Mysteries at the Monument and Bikinis & Boardwalks (season three);Trip Flip &Xtreme Waterparks (season four); Hotel Impossible (season six); and Ghost Adventures (season 11), said network officials.
In addition, the network announced premiere dates for several other series including Bizarre Foods (April 13) Man Finds Food (April 1), Mysteries at the Museum (April 3) and The Dead Files(April 25).
"We are laying the groundwork for success with our returning series, a consistent schedule and great storytelling by smart and entertaining talent," said Ross Babbit, senior vice president, programming and development, Travel Channel in a statement. “The shows that come back season after season are the backbone of our schedule. They demonstrate our commitment to owning the travel category, while attracting an upscale audience and creating a healthy environment for our new slate of 2015 programming.”
