Travel Channel, U.S. Travel Association Team On Fall Promotion

Looking to spur leisure travel in the United States during the fall and winter, the U.S. Travel Association is partnering with the Travel Channel to create a week-long primetime promotion encouraging consumers to experience extraordinary destinations around the nation.
This block of U.S. programming will reintroduce Americans to travel opportunities across the nation, in their region and own backyard. In additiion, Travel Channel is supporting "Discover America Week" with a schedule of public service announcements promoting the benefits of travel to its audience.
Moreover, Travel will proffer advertising, promotions, events and appearances in support of Discover America Week; offer online content, including a Discover America section of; use banner advertising; send dedicated emails, conduct a sweepstakes promotion; integrate with Travel Channel's services on; and unveil a new "Discover America Collection" of short-form video, and features on Travel Channel's channel page.
"This Discover America Week programming provides a powerful vehicle for state, city and local tourism bodies to work with travel suppliers to promote travel this fall," said Patrick Younge, president and general manager, Travel Channel, in a statement. "We know the power of travel, and through our entertaining and engaging personalities and programs, we can inform consumers about the transformative benefits of travel, while highlighting the vital role it plays as a major driver to the U.S. economy."
