Travel, Time Warner Launch ‘Hometown’ Campaign

Travel Channel and Time Warner Cable are teaming up on an educational and promotional campaign, the two parties said Monday.

“My Hometown,” which runs through October, will combine Travel’s programming and Time Warner’s cable and Road Runner high-speed-data connections to schools to “inform and excite schoolchildren about what’s cool in their local communities and encourage residents to show their civic pride,” the network and the MSO said.

Segments from Travel series such asDestination USA, John Ratzenberger’s Made in America and Road Trip will be featured.
