New York -- Viewer's Choice and World Championship
Wrestling will once again team up to offer a promotion designed to promote both Halloween
safety and WCW's Oct. 25 Halloween Havoc pay-per-view event.
As part of the promotion, Viewer's Choice has
developed reflective trick-or-treat bags for local systems to distribute in their
communities. The 15-inch-by-18-inch bags, imprinted on the outside with safety tips, also
promote Halloween Havoc, representatives from both companies said.
More than 300 systems, representing a combined 7.5 million
addressable subscribers, have already signed up to participate in the program and receive
the trick-or-treat bags -- more than doubling subscribers reached with last year's
Operators can make the bags available at their cable
offices for walk-in traffic; team up with local stores for retail cross-promotion; work
with local schools or police associations to distribute the bags to children; or
