Trio Tips Production on Series

Trio begins production this week in Los Angeles on The Score, a series of one-hour specials centering on
the dynamics of creating a musical score for film.

The series, which will debut on Trio on Sunday nights, beginning March 3, is
co-produced by multi-Grammy-Award-winning music producer Phil Ramone and TV icon
Norman Lear.

Ramone, who will serve as host, will be joined each week
by top directors
and composers, according to Trio president and CEO Bill Haber.

The Score is being produced by Automatic
Productions for Trio at CBS Studios.

Among the guests on The Score: directors Rob Reiner, Sydney Pollack, Taylor
Hackford, Brett Ratner, and Ted Demme and composers Danny Elfman, James
Newton-Howard, Marc Shaiman, Lalo Schifrin, David Grusin and Alan and Marilyn
Bergman.

The program will also include musical performances from Brian Wilson, Darius
Rucker, Stephen Bishop and Matthew Sweet, among others.

'Phil Ramone's vision of capturing the atmosphere of
what goes on in a scoring stage is totally unique and something that's never
been seen on television.

The combinations of directors, composers and performers will make this
must-see TV for fans of movies and music alike,' said Trio vice president of
original programming Andrew Cohen in a statement.
