Freshman comedy series I’m Sorry will return to truTV for a second season, the network said Thursday.
The series, which stars Andrea Savage as a wife and mom who comically exposes her inner immaturity and neuroses through unexpected life situations, will return for a sophomore campaign in 2018, according to officials.
Through its first season I’m sorry -- which also stars Tom Everett Scott and Olive Petrucci-- has grown its audience 32% since its July 12 premiere, delivering an average of 454,000 total viewers in total viewers and 306,000 viewers in the adult 18-49 demo (Nielsen Live +3 ratings) each week, said truTV.
“Andrea tells relatable and hysterical stories in a way that’s genuine to her comedic point of view. She’s got a refreshing take on the awkward, hilarious moments that we all experience as grownups and it’s clearly resonating with viewers,” said Marissa Ronca, executive vice president and head of programming for truTV in a statement. “We’re thrilled to be partnering with her on a second season.”
