The general session Tuesday, May 4, at the National Show in New Orleans will feature several programming executives, the National Cable & Telecommunications Association announced Friday.
Among those scheduled to appear are: Matt Blank, chairman and CEO, Showtime Networks Inc.; Geraldine Laybourne, chairman, founder and CEO, Oxygen Media Inc.; Ken Lowe, CEO, E.W. Scripps Co.; Anne Sweeney, president, Disney Channel Worldwide, ABC Cable Networks Group; Tony Vinciquerra, CEO, Fox Networks Group; and David Zaslav, president, NBC Cable Networks.
The panel will likely focus on the changing landscape in program distribution, including the cable industry's continuing deployment of HDTV, on-demand and other new video services.
In addition, the potential impact of digital-video recorders and other new technology on advertising revenues and investments in the development of new and original cable programming are likely topics.
The 53rd annual National Show runs May 2-5 in New Orleans.
