Turner Broadcasting System Inc. has acquired the cable rights to Columbia
Pictures' blockbuster theatrical hit, Spider-Man, according to sources
close to Turner.

In a 10-year, approximately $60 million co-rights deal with broadcast network
Fox, Turner Network Television will air the movie in 2005, one year after Fox
premieres the film, the source said.

The movie will then flip-flop between Fox and TNT/TBS Superstation for the
duration of the deal.

Earlier this year, TNT and TBS, along with sister broadcast network The WB
Television Network, combined to acquire first-run television rights to the
popular Lord of the Rings trilogy for a reported $160
million.
