With the 2002 National Basketball Association playoffs nearing the conference
finals, Turner Sports continues to ring up double-digit gains across a quintet
of viewership measures.
Turner Network Television and TBS Superstation, airing 30 games through May
10, posted a 2.3 household average, up 10 percent from a 2.1 for 28 games over
the comparable span during the 2001 NBA playoffs.
That performance translated into a 15 percent gain in delivery to more than 2
million households from 1.74 million last year.
Among adults 18 through 34 and 18 through 49, the Turner outlets rang up 15
percent increases to 777,000 and 1.55 million of those viewers,
