Turner Sports Names Diament Ad Sales EVP

Veteran Turner Broadcasting System, Inc. sales executive Jon Diament has been named executive vice president for Turner Sports Ad Sales and Marketing.

An 18-year Turner employee, Diament most recently served as senior vice president, general sales manager for CNN ad sales and marketing. He succeeds longtime Turner Sports ad sales executive Trish Frohman, who has elected to step back from her day-to-day role to spend more time with her family. She will continue to work with Turner on a variety of special projects.

In his new role, Diament will provide leadership and strategy for all aspects of the division including ad sales, sponsorships and promotional efforts for Turner Sports properties, comprising Major League Baseball, the National Basketball Association, NASCAR and the PGA. Diament will continue to be based in New York reporting directly to David Levy, president of Turner Broadcasting Sales, Inc and Turner Sports

An industry veteran with more than 20 years of experience, Diament joined Turner as a sales planner in 1990 and has held ascending positions throughout his career at CNN. In 1992, he was promoted to account executive and was named vice president in 1998. Diament was elevated to senior vice president managing CNN’s New York ad sales offices in 2000, and again promoted in 2004 to the role of senior vice president and general manager overseeing all of its national sales offices, reporting to  COO of CNN Ad Sales and Marketing Greg D’Alba.
