Tut Systems Inc. debuted its latest solution for private broadband networks deployed across multiple-dwelling units, hotel complexes and campus networks.
The vendor said its “T2” product line delivers both power and broadband connectivity up to 75 megabits per second over standard telephone wiring.
T2 was specifically designed to deliver multiple channels of HDTV over Internet-protocol networks, but it also enables campuswide deployment of voice-over-IP phones, wireless-access points and IP-enabled security cameras.
Tut added that by delivering both power and broadband connectivity across a single in-house telephone line, T2 eliminates the cost, installation and maintenance issues associated with standard digital-subscriber-line-like systems that require local power. T2 provides power through a patent-pending process over existing telephone lines to the wall plate, the company added.
