TV Guide Puts Viewers on the SPOT

TV Guide SPOT is looking for user-generated video highlighting great TV moments, offering a promotion where winning submissions will be added to its video-on-demand channel.

The “TV Guide SPOTTERS” campaign asks fans to submit video clips between one and five minutes long detailing their favorite shows and TV moments. Fans can submit the video by going to the TV Guide Web site and clicking on the TV Guide SPOT page (www.tvguide.com/spot).

"Some of the most entertaining video content available today is created by everyday people and, with the launch of TV Guide SPOTTERS, we are giving fans an opportunity to showcase their best creativity to TV Guide SPOT's 20 million on-demand subscribers," said Dmitri Ponomarev, vice president of on-demand for TV Guide SPOT.

"TV Guide SPOTTERS is a unique way for fans to share with other viewers their passion for their favorite TV shows, personalities and memorable moments," he added

A division of Gemstar-TV Guide International, TV Guide SPOT offers VOD to cable on-demand systems, and it claims some 20 million subscribers.
