TV Land to Crown the King


Beverly Hills, Calif. -- TV Land will memorialize Elvis Presley on the 30th anniversary of his death with classic movies, Web content and an original special, Myths and Legends: Elvis.

The programming will be scheduled throughout August. The special will investigate and confirm or debunk stories about the performer, such as the claim that he is related to Oprah Winfrey. will house classic pictures of the performer and a blog by Elvis friend and music writer Ben Fong Torres.

Upcoming productions also include Back to the Grind, where performers from classic TV shows are put back to work in the jobs performed on TV by their characters. For instance, WKRP in Cincinnati star Loni Anderson will work as a radio-station receptionist.
