TV Land Greenlights Melissa McCarthy Project

TV Land will go ahead with Melissa McCarthy’s comedy series Nobodies, greenlighting a 12-episode freshman season, the network said Thursday.

The series stars Hugh Davidson, Larry Dorf and Rachel Ramras as friends who look to become famous in Hollywood by getting their feature script produced. The three actors along with McCarthy, Ben Falcone and Michael McDonald will serve as executive producers for the series, according to TV Land.

“The initial pitch for Nobodies was really funny, and man, did they ever deliver a pilot that is so honest and bold that it’ll make you laugh and cringe at the same time,” said Keith Cox, Executive Vice President, Development and Original Programming TV Land in a statement.
