TV Land Renews ‘Younger’ and ‘Teachers’

TV Land has renewed two of its veteran scripted series Younger and Teachers for new seasons to debut in 2018, the network said Thursday.

Drama series Younger, which will launch its fourth season June 28, will return next year with a 12-episode fifth season, said the network. The series stars Sutton Foster as a 40-year old woman who pretends to be 26 in order to get a job in the highly competitive world of publishing.

Teachers, which revolves around a group of flawed elementary school teachers, will return for a 20-episode third season in 2018. The second half of Teachers’ sophomore campaign launches this fall, said the network.

In addition, the network has greenlit a second season of the Melissa McCarthy-produced comedy series Nobodies. The series, which stars Hugh Davidson, Larry Dorf and Rachel Ramras, is currently airing on the network.

“We’re absolutely thrilled to be bringing back Younger and Teachers for more seasons and double down on our dedication to creating smart, funny, honest and compelling originals,” said Frank Tanki. Tv Land general manager in a statement.
