TV One Sets June Premiere Date for Miki Howard Biopic

Boston -- TV One will debut its new original movie Love Under New Management: The Miki Howard Story on June 12, the network said.

The movie, which stars Teyonah Parris (Chi-Raq, Survivor's Remorse) as R&B singer Miki Howard, is the network’s first bio-pic inspired by its documentary series Unsung.

The movie, part of TV One's Black music month celebration, also stars Darius McCrary (The LeftoversFamily Matters); Vanessa Bell Calloway (ShamelessTo Hell and Back); Gary Dourdan (CSIBeing Mary Jane); LisaRaye McCoy (Single LadiesAll of Us); and Amari Cheatom (Django Unchained, Night Catches Us).
