Tavis Smiley and Bill Cosby will be featured in separate TV One specials during the month of August.
The network will air a series of four specials highlighting Smiley’s seventh annual “State of the Black Union” symposium each Sunday in August at 8 p.m. (EST).
And following the premiere of the final installment Aug. 27, TV One will air a one-hour interview featuring Smiley on TV One on One with Cathy Hughes at 9 p.m.
As for Cosby, one-hour special A Call Out with Bill Cosby will air on TV One Sunday, Aug. 20 at 9 p.m.
A Call Out with Bill Cosby was taped at a public meeting at the University of the District of Columbia earlier this year, and its panel also featured D.C. Police Chief Charles Ramsey, educators, family court experts and a mother of adopted and foster children. It was moderated by CN8, The Comcast Network news anchor Arthur Fennell.
