The tragic terrorist attacks in New York and Washington, D.C., Tuesday
continue to wreak havoc on the sports world.

Madison Square Garden and TVKO postponed their Sept. 15 Felix
Trinidad-Bernard Hopkins middleweight-championship pay-per-view event due to the
terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, Home Box Office
senior vice president of sports operations Mark Taffet said.

'Due to the tragic circumstances and events that took place in New York City,
we felt it would be inappropriate at this time to conduct a boxing event Sept.
15,' Taffet said. 'We will look to reschedule the event as soon as
possible.'

All Major League Baseball games have been postponed
through Thursday, while most college-football games scheduled for Thursday and
at least four set for Saturday have been canceled, including the
Washington-Miami contest, according to CBS
