TVN Entertainment Corp. is starting to provide its video-on-demand
affiliates with a children's programming package with product from Sesame
Workshop, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Inc., RCN Entertainment and Artisan
Entertainment's Family Home Entertainment division.
The package includes 18 hours from Sesame Street, 13 episodes of
Backyard Safari from RCN and 30 hours of content from MGM that includes
Pink Panther and Garbage Pail Kids
cartoons.
The MGM deal is a trial agreement.
TVN said Charter Communications Inc., Insight
Communications Co. Inc. and Mediacom Communications Corp., among other
affiliates, will take the package.
