TVN Inks Batch of VOD Deals

TVN Entertainment Corp. said Thursday that it has signed several video-on-demand agreements with cable programmers.

The company reached accords with Disney ABC Cable Networks Group, Outdoor Life Network and Hallmark Channel covering “a wide range of VOD services in support of content distribution, including encoding, asset management, site-specific metadata and multicast transport to VOD systems throughout the United States via TVN's ‘ADONISS’ platform,” the company said.

“These networks are demonstrating an ongoing commitment to the powerful on-demand platform, and they clearly value the quality of service and broad distribution base that TVN provides to its content partners," TVN vice president of business development Matt Cohen said in a prepared statement.

“As VOD becomes more critical to our affiliates and network partners, TVN is leading the industry in both distribution and the innovative applications that will take VOD to the next level,” he added.
