TVN Inks MTV, BET VOD Deal

TVN Entertainment Corp. boosted its lineup of on-demand programming, announcing a multiyear deal with MTV Networks and Black Entertainment Television to provide titles from a slew of popular cable-TV channels.

The deal will provide on-demand services for MTV: Music Television, VH1, Country Music Television, Nickelodeon, Logo, Comedy Central and BET.

TVN will supply on-demand content-distribution and asset-management services, including its “TVNow” system, which can rapidly convert live TV programs into stored on-demand content.

"MTV Networks' and BET's products have become a staple in the television lexicon, and this deal signals the extension of their strong brand into the growing number of VOD systems and formats being deployed today," TVN executive vice president of sales and business development Jim Riley said.
