Burbank, Calif. -- TVN Entertainment will implement its
turnkey digital-programming and transactional service in Northland Communications'
Moses Lake, Wash., system.
It was not reported how many subscribers TVN would serve.
But Northland has approximately 263,000 subscribers, mostly in the Northwest.
Northland will use TVN Digital Cable Television, a turnkey
system that delivers digital near-video-on-demand movie and event programming, as well as
transactional, marketing, technical and financial support.
"We are particularly pleased that Northland chose TVN
for its first digital launch and anticipate that this will be the beginning of a mutually
profitable relationship," said David Sears, TVN senior vice president of affiliate
sales and marketing, in a prepared statement.
Allison Keeler, senior operations manager of Northland
Communications, also said in a prepared statement: "We are very impressed with the
wide range of services that TVN provides and look forward to providing our customers with
an expanded array of programming and services."
