Bolstering its content roster, Time Warner Cable SportsNet has secured the rights to a number of football and basketball games from the Mountain West Conference for the 2012-13 school year.
The regional sports net, home to the Los Angeles Lakers, Galaxy and Sparks, will air a dozen live Mountain West Conference football games, involving San Diego State, UNLV and Fresno State and more than two dozen MWC hoops contests.
Under the deal, Time Warner Cable SportNet will become the exclusive regional home of the Azecs, Rebels and Bulldogs, starting this fall. Deal terms were not disclosed, but the Los Angeles Times reports that the games were swapped for carriage of CBS Sports Network, which holds MWC rights, on Time Warner Cable systems serving 1 million homes.
