Hollywood Media Corp. -- which has its Totally Hollywood TV and Totally Broadway TV interactive services running in the New York area through Cablevision Systems Corp. -- has reached distribution agreements in principle with two major cable operators.
The company, headed by Sci Fi Channel founders Mitchell Rubenstein and Laurie Silvers, did not name the operators involved.
Company officials, through a prepared statement, said the rollouts will start by March 2003, with full details forthcoming before then.
Totally Hollywood TV and Totally Broadway TV, offering movie and Broadway show information and ticket sales, debuted this past summer on Cablevision's iO: Interactive Optimum service.
The service has more than 80,000 customers, with as many as 175,000 anticipated by the end of the year through an expanded rollout among more than 3 million homes passed.
