U-verse Passes 1 Million Homes In Michigan

AT&T announced Thursday that U-verse TV, Internet and voice services are now available to more than 1 million living units across Michigan.

In May 2007, the telco debuted U-verse in the state, where it competes with Comcast and Charter Communications.

AT&T's DSL-based U-verse services are now offered in parts of 235 communities across the state, including Ann Arbor, Detroit, Flint, Grand Rapids, Jackson, Kalamazoo, Lansing and Saginaw.

The telco claimed that it invested more than $2 billion between 2006 and 2008 in its entire Michigan network, including the U-verse fiber-to-the-node network.
