Universal Sports Presents PPV, Subscription Streaming of World Team Table Tennis Championships

Universal Sports is setting the table with a pay-per-view presentation of the 2012 ITTF World Team Table Tennis Championships from Dortmund, Germany.
The Olympic-style sports proponent has secured deals with DirecTV, Dish Network and AvailTVN for those distributors to provide PPV packages, spanning March 28 through April 1.
In addition, Universal Sports is presenting its own live streaming subscription package of the competition, and working with InDemand on video-on-demand offerings.

Offering five days of coverage from the biennial event, UniversalSports.com will stream 70 hours of action from rounds 4 and 5, the 1/8 Finals, Quarterfinals, Semifinals and Finals between March 28 and April 1. The site's three levels of subscriptions include a single-day package for $19.99, the semifinals and finals (final two days) for $34.99 or the full five-day package for $79.99.

"The World Team Table Tennis Championships are a prime example of how Universal Sports is able to use our exclusive rights to world class sporting events to provide comprehensive multi-platform coverage and value for our distribution partners," said David Sternberg, CEO of Universal Sports in a statement.
