Universal Sports Televises Phelps Return To Competition


Aquaman is back in the pool.

Michael Phelps, the most decorated Olympian in U.S. history, returned to competition for the first time today since his glory in Beijing and his suspension from swimming after photos of him smoking marijuana were revealed, at the 2009 Charlotte UltraSwim. The event is the first major competition for team USA since the Summer Olympics.
Universal Sports has live coverage of the competition, which features Phelps competing in the 100-meter butterfly, 100- meter backstroke and 50-, 100- and 200-meter freestyle events.
Universal Sports presented live coverage of the 200-meter event starting with Phelps' first heat in the pool March 15 at 10 a.m. (ET.) Live TV and online coverage at universalsports.com will continue with the remaining heats from 6 - 8 p.m this Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

 The NBC Universal and Intermedia Partners-owned network is now available to 45 million homes.
