Univision Dedicates Building To Ray Rodriguez

Saluting a career that spanned almost 20 years, Univision today dedicated a building housing network operations to former president and COO Ray Rodriguez.
In a ceremony that took place today at 2 p.m. in front of the Univision building in Miami, Univision Communications Inc. CEO Joe Uva, and Cesar Conde, president of the Univision Networks, presented Rodriguez with a commemorative plaque and named the building the "The Ray Rodriguez Broadcasting Center." Rodriguez, who joined Univision in 1990, announced his retirement in August.
During the ceremony, attended by Univision executives and employees and various dignitaries, community and industry leaders, singer Gloria Estefan among them, Uva read a proclamation issued by Miami-Dade County Mayor Carlos Alvarez declaring this day in honor of Rodriguez.
"The dedication of the building is a fitting way to not only acknowledge but celebrate Ray Rodriguez's nearly 20 years with Univision and the lasting mark he has left on the media industry and in the Miami business community," said Uva.
Noted Rodriguez: "I am immensely honored and would like to thank Joe, Cesar and the entire Univision family for this dedication. Univision is a place I have called home for the past 20 years and one full of lasting memories. Thank you all for being part of this amazing and unforgettable journey."
