Univision Tops Broadcast On Aug. 10 With Coverage Of U.S.-Mexico Soccer Match

The international friendly between the U.S. and Mexico on Aug. 10 drew nearly 4.5 million viewers on Univision.
The soccer match, a 1-1 draw, netted some 4.49 million watchers, including 1.58 million persons 18 to 34, according to Nielsen data. Officials at Univision, which aired the game live from 8:30 p.m. to 11:12 p.m. (ET), said it was the top broadcast program on the night among viewers and the aforementioned demo.
ESPN2, which joined the match late in deference to concluding its coverage of a Little League World Series qualifying game, averaged 1.08 million watchers with the contest between Sam's Army, its first under new coach Jurgen Klinsmann, and El Tri,
