CBS College Sports Network will showcase its "Armed Forces Appreciation Week" programming before an expanded audience base through previews on a number of distributors.
Dish Network, DirecTV, Verizon FiOS and Mediacom Communications will make CBS College Sports Network available to their full customer bases this week. Elsewhere, Comcast systems in California, Chicago and Detroit will proffer the free preview, while Time Warner Cable will do the same on its systems serving New York, Los Angeles, Ohio and Texas.
CBS College Sports will be available to all Dish customers from Oct. 7 through Oct. 14, a period that includes the network's "Armed Forces Appreciation Week." Over that span, the network will present special programming saluting the nation's armed forces and service academy football teams, including a Saturday, Oct. 10 tripleheader: Vanderbilt at Army (noon. ET), Navy at Rice (3:30 p.m.) and TCU at Air Force (7:30 p.m.).
CBS College Sports is available on channel 152 in standard and high definition. The network is part of Dish's Classic Silver 200 package, which is available at a special rate of $37.99 per month for 12 months
