Survivor

creator Mark Burnett has another reality series in the works for USA Network, called
Combat Missions
, which pits members of elite U.S. combat units against one another, officials said last week.

Burnett, who also produces
Eco-Challenge

for USA, has received an order for 15 episodes of
Combat Missions,

which would debut in primetime next summer.

During the hour-long show, groups of four-member teams living on a secret military base will compete against each other. Team members will be current and former members of combat units, such as the Green Berets, Recon Marines and Navy Seals.

They will test the limits of their physical ability, tactical strategy and mental discipline in a series of staged military missions, according to USA.

In addition to the mission simulations-which will include hostage rescues, sniper attacks and urban assaults-
Combat Missions

will also highlight the drama that takes place within the secret base.

"In the current resurgence of reality programming, Mark Burnett is the master of scale and drama, and USA is pleased to extend its existing relationship with Mark from
Eco-Challenge

to
Combat Missions
,"Jim Miller, USA executive vice president of original programming, said in a statement. "Mark's first-hand combat experience in the Elite British Parachute Regiment, combined with his expertise in producing compelling television shows like
Eco-Challenge

and
Survivor
, will bring the audience an experience unlike any they've seen before."

In his own statement about
Combat Missions,

Burnett said, "It will show great dramatic relationships within the combat teams as they undergo missions that the audience has never seen before."

Eco-Challenge
, which movesto USA from Discovery Channel, will premiere April 1 next year as a series of hour-long episodes spanning six nights.

USA's sister service, Sci Fi Channel, also has some new original programming in the works. Sci Fi completed a development deal with Alliance Atlantis for two new original series.

Anonymous Rex,

based on the award-winning book by Eric Garcia, chronicles a secret society of dinosaurs still roaming the Earth, disguised as humans. Over time, evolution has made the dinosaurs human-sized creatures with the ability to disguise themselves as everyday people, infiltrating all sectors of life and serving as doctors, lawyers, housewives and actors.

Sci Fi and Alliance also are developing Philip Jose Farmer's classic
Riverworld

books for television, with Stuart Hazeldine set to write the two-hour pilot.

Riverworld

explores a time between life and death, in which representatives of the dead from every era of humanity have been reborn young and healthy.
