USA Network will look to expand its slate of scripted drama series with the greenlighting of thee new series pilots, the network announced Wednesday.
The three series include Complications, a gritty medical drama from Burn Notice producer Matt Nix; Novice, created by Joe and Tony Gayton (Hell On Wheels) and follows a young man who’s post college job search leads him into a life of crime; and Rush, produced by Jonathan Levine (Warm Bodies) that focuses on the life of a doctor who lives by his own rules until an ex-girlfriend begins to change his ways.
The new pilots follow on the heels of USA’s recently announced untitled Sean Jablonski project from Universal Cable Productions.
"These pilots illustrate our continued commitment to creating the next evolution of powerful original dramas for which USA is well known," said Chris McCumber, president of USA Network in a statement. "This particular mix of dramas comes from some of the top writers and producers in the industry, each of whom bring a distinct point of view and unique talent for developing high stakes storylines and compelling characters."
