USA Network said it has ordered a fourth season (12 episodes) of original reality series Chrisley Knows Best. The family comedy show set a series ratings record on its third-season premiere, the network said. The show is about Atlanta-based Todd Chrisley and his family. It's produced by Maverick TV and All3Media America, and USA said it ranks as a top-10 unscripted cable series in all key demos and total viewers since its third-season debut.
“The Chrisleys continue to be on a roll, as fans can’t get enough of the family’s amusing, unfiltered and relatable moments,” Chris McCumber, USA Network's president, said in a release. "We’re pleased to bring fans a fourth season of Chrisley Knows Best, a show that keeps growing its audience, resonates with viewers and always has us guessing what’s next for Todd and his family.”
USA said the show has grown season over season in the ratings, with season three averaging 2.6 million total viewers P2+ (up 17% over season 2), 1.3 million persons18-49 (up 11% over S2) and 1.4 million persons 25-54 (up 26% over S2) with L7/ L3 data. The next episode is tonight and the mid-season summer finale on Tuesday, July 21, includes back-to-back episodes at 9 and 9:30 p.m.
USA said it will soon start production on two previously announced Chrisley pilots -- a nighttime talk show hosted by Todd Chrisley from Embassy Row and a Chrisley Knows Best spinoff pilot with series partner Maverick TV.
