USC-Fresno Shootout Boosts FSN


FSN's telecast of Saturday night’s college-football showdown between No. 1 USC and No. 16 Fresno State earned a 2.7 coverage-area rating and was seen in 2.1 million households by an FSN-record audience of 2.8 million people, the network said Tuesday, citing Nielsen Media Research data.

The only FSN program to top USC’s 50-42 win over Fresno State was a Nebraska-Kansas State college-football game Nov. 11, 2000, which posted as 3.0 coverage-area rating, the network added.
