Las Vegas -- U.S. Digital Television Inc., the no-frills wireless-digital-TV service, will launch in its first East Coast market, Norfolk-Hampton Roads, Va., this spring, officials said Thursday.
The rollout will be the fifth market for USDTV, which offers about 30 broadcast and cable channels for $19.95 per month. The service is already up and running in Las Vegas; Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas; Albuquerque, N.M.; and Salt Lake City.
USDTV got a $25.75 million cash infusion last year from investors that included several TV-station groups, such as Fox Television Stations Inc. and LIN TV Corp., which operates in Norfolk.
USDTV announced its latest launch at the 2006 International Consumer Electronics Show here.
