Verizon began marketing its FiOS TV service in Framingham, Mass., just one week after winning a franchise in the town. The telco will take in incumbent cable operator Comcast in Framingham, which counts 19,000 households.

Comcast will also soon face competition in Norwood, Mass., from Verizon. The Board of Selectmen in Norwood, which has 7,500 homes, granted Verizon a video franchise for its FiOS TV service Tuesday night.
