Keller, Texas— ESPN partnered with Verizon Communications Inc. to promote the telco’s new FiOS TV video product roll-out at the last high school football games of the season.
The campaign was designed to create brand awareness and buzz around Disney entertainment and ESPN sports networks available through Verizon.
At the ESPN tent at games, marketers gave out ESPN GamePlan posters featuring a University of Texas football player, T-shirts, pennants and other souvenirs promoting ESPN Desportes, ESPN 360 and ESPNU. The networks were also featured on in-stadium video and workers handed out marketing materials to game attendees.
Verizon demonstrated ESPN programming on plasma screens in a specially equipped Hummer in the lot.
