Verizon FiOS Expands Hispanic Offering in Top Markets

Verizon Communications this week added five Spanish-language
channels to its FiOS TV lineup: CentroAmerica TV, Latele Novela Network,
Pasiones, Teleamazones Internacional and V-me Kids, expanding its offering to
include 39 channels overall.

"We've been watching the tremendous growth in our
Spanish-language subscriber base and have further broadened our offerings to
that diverse market with these new channels," Terry Denson, vice president of
content strategy and acquisition for Verizon, said in a prepared
statement.

The five channels were launched Monday May 23 in FiOS TV
markets in Florida, California and Texas and will be in all FiOS TV markets by
the mid June.

The Verizon FiOS Spanish-language package includes some of
the highest-rated nets among Hispanics, including Galavision, ESPN Deportes and
CNN en Espanol, for $11.99 per month. La Conexion package offers a mix of
Spanish- and English-language programming, with more than 125 channels,
including all Spanish-language channels and more than 54 of the most popular
channels in English. La Conexion is available separately for $54.99 per month,
or in a bundled package with FiOS Internet and voice service.
