NFL Network Wednesday became the latest programmer to announce a carriage deal with Verizon Communications for its upcoming FiOS TV service.
As part of the agreement, FiOS customers will receive the National Football League’s 24-hour, year-round linear channel, as well as its HD simulcast and video-on-demand platform NFL on Demand. Deal terms were not disclosed.
“We are pleased to add NFL Network to our extensive lineup of sports programming,” FiOS TV vice president of programming and marketing Terry Denson said in a prepared statement. “Our future customers will join the millions of passionate football fans who follow their favorite teams year-round on NFL Network.”
NFL Network vice president of affiliate sales Brian Decker added, “As a recent newcomer ourselves, we are emboldened by Verizon’s interest in video content, and we look forward to joining with them to provide advanced services into America’s homes.”
