Looking to spark sales of gigabit-speed service, Verizon Fios will be throwing in 12 months of free premium Netflix service for those who commit to two years for its Gigabit Connection Internet packages.

With Netflix recently upping the price of its premium tier to $15.99 a month, that shakes out to a $192 a year value.

Tiers included in the promotion include the Gigabit Connection Triple Play package, with bundles 940 Mbps up/880 Mbps down internet service, the Custom TV skinny bundle and landline phone for $79.99 a month.

Verizon will also provide the promotion for existing customers who re-up for two years.

Verizon integrated Netflix into its Fios TV user interface last year.

Verizon added 47,000 Fios Internet customers in the fourth quarter, with total revenue from its wireline business flat year over year. The company did not disclose how many subscribers are using gigabit-speed services at this point. Verizon said the service is currently available to “millions of homes in the Mid-Atlantic, including residences in select areas of New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Virginia, and Washington, D.C.”
