Verizon Wireless’ V CAST broadband-cellular service is raising the curtain for “V CAST Performances,” a new lineup of music-performance and concert-tour programs video customers can access via their mobile phones.
The new program channel, debuting Monday, includes concert footage from musical talents including teen artist Cheyenne Kimball and rock band Live. Performance video will include club and theater shows, as well as tours presented by Verizon and exclusive live performance events. In all, it will offer concert content from more than 50 popular artists this year.
Customers will be able to download as many as three broadband video clips per artist from the V CAST Performance series. They will also have access to related ring tones, ring-back tones and full-length song downloads.
To tap the content, Verizon Wireless customers must buy a broadband “Evolution Data Optimized (EV-DO)” phone and pay $15 monthly for the V CAST “VPak” content subscription, which gives them unlimited minutes to access the content.
