Oregon retained the top spot in the BCS standings with its win over Cal and gave Versus its most-watched college football telecast in network history.
The Ducks's 15-13 win over the Bears, which also marked the network's first 3D telecast, averaged 1.9 million on Nov. 13, according to Nielsen data, supplanting the 1.6 million watchers for the Nov. 29, 2008 contest between Oregon-Oregon State as its biggest college football audience to date.
The Nov. 13 telecast, averaged a 1.7 household rating, peaking at a 2.7, with more than 3 million viewers from 10:30 p.m.-10:45 p.m. (ET). The game was also VERSUS' most-watched college football game among all the key male demos, according to officials at Comcast's national sports service.
Locally, the game played big as well: Versus notched a 13.3 household rating in the Portland DMA, while the San Francisco/Oakland/San Jose market counted a 4.2 rating. That made Versus the top-rated network overall in both markets during the time period.
