VH1 has acquired the rights to off-ABC sitcom Happy Endings, the network announced Tuesday.
The series, which originally aired on ABC for three seasons from April 2011 to May 2013, will launch on VH1 with a marathon beginning Dec. 31 that will run through New Year’s Day, said network officials.
Happy Endings will then air Wednesday nights from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. beginning Jan. 8. VH1 also has rights to run all 57 episodes of the series via its TV Everywhere and VH1 App platforms, said the network.
“Happy Endings is one of our favorite network series, and we consider ourselves lucky to be able to add it to the VH1 line-up,” said Ben Zurier, Executive Vice President, Programming for VH1. “The show’s authentic voice, memorable characters, and smart humor really stands out, and we’re really pleased to be able to provide new platforms for viewers to enjoy it over and over.”
