VH1 to Air Live Concert for Diana

VH1 will broadcast and stream online live the entire six-hour Concert for Diana from London’s Wembley Stadium Sunday beginning at 11 a.m.

The network will simultaneously carry the concert -- marking the 10th anniversary of Princess Diana’s death -- on its cable channel and Web site. In addition to the live stream, the entire concert will be available on-demand on VH1.com. Also, VH1.com will archive each performance as they air for on-demand viewing.

Concert performers include Fergie, Elton John, Duran Duran, Bryan Ferry, Lily Allen, Kanye West, Rod Stewart, Natasha Bedingfield, Nelly Furtado, P. Diddy, Tom Jones, Take That, Will Young, The Feeling, James Morrison, Orson and Status Quo and Joss Stone.

In addition, VH1 Classic will air the six-hour concert one hour after the broadcast begins.

To market the event, VH1.com is working with DoubleClick to execute a media buy across several MSN.com properties including its Entertainment pages, Windows Media and Hotmail, according to the network.
