VH1 Greenlights New Scripted Series

VH1 will add a second scripted series to its lineup next year with the production of drama series Bounce, the network announced Tuesday.

The series, which follows the lives of members of pro basketball dance team the Los Angeles Devil Girls, will star Dean Cain (Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman) Kimberly Elise (Diary Of A Mad Black Woman), Charlotte Ross (NYPD Blue), and Taylour Paige (High School Musical 3).

The series is set to begin production in 2013.

Bounce is the second scripted drama series for VH1, following the network's successful sophomore show Single Ladies.

"On the heels of our great success with Single Ladies, we are thrilled to have Bounce be our second hour-long scripted series," said Jeff Olde, executive vice president of original programming and production in a statement. "It has all the elements we know VH1 viewers love; a world very much on the pop culture radar, an incredible cast and compelling, addictive storytelling."
