VH1 greenlights 'RuPaul’s Drag Race' Spinoff Series

 VH1 will spin off its Emmy-winning RuPaul Drag Race franchise with RuPaul’s Celebrity Drag Race, set to debut in 2020.

The four-episode event series will feature 12 sickening celebrities as they compete for the first-ever title of “America’s Next Celebrity Drag Superstar," according to VH1.  Celebrity participants and a premiere date for the series will be announced soon, according to network officials.

RuPaul's Drag Race won four 2019 Emmy Awards last month. 

“Doing drag does not change who you are, it reveals who you are,” said RuPaul Drag Race  host and Executive Producer, RuPaul Charles in a statement. “I can't wait for the world to see what happens when our celebrity contestants get all up in drags!”

World of Wonder Productions will produce RuPaul’s Celebrity Drag Race, with is produced Fenton Bailey, Randy Barbato, Tom Campbell, Steven Corfe, Mandy Salangsang, San Heng and Charles serving as executive producers.
