VH1 Names Program-Planning VPs

VH1 announced a promotion and a new hire in its program-planning department.

Mai Kim Flournoy has been promoted to vice president, program planning, from director, program planning. She will now oversee VH1’s daily program lineup, develop scheduling strategies to maximize program ratings, develop advertising-sales opportunities and showcase the network’s music and pop-culture brand.

Flournoy will also plan on-air program sponsorships and supervise scheduling and execution on VH1 and VH1 Classic, as well as collaborating with departments throughout the network to determine program priorities and support franchise development.

And Tom Feie has joined VH1 as VP, program planning. Feie had been director, corporate programming at WPWR-TV in Chicago and KTVD-TV in Denver.

At VH1, he will coordinate content strategy across platforms, including broadband player VSPOT, wireless platforms and the network’s video-on-demand offering.

Feie will also help to devise long-term series planning for VH1 and to identify opportunities.
