VH1 Renews 'Dating Naked'

Reality Series Gets Second Season

VH1 has renewed its reality series Dating Naked,  for a second season, the network said Monday.

The series, in which a man and a women are tasked with going out on several dates without clothes,  averaged 1 million total viewers (Live +3 ratings) during its freshman run and has generated 500,000 online weekly streams, according to network officials. The series is one of three reality series with the word naked in its title, following Discovery Channel's Naked and Afraid and TLC's Buying Naked.

VH1 will air a Sept. 18 series special, Dating Naked: The Wedding, according to network officials.

"Dating Naked has been a ratings success for us and a viewer favorite,” said Susan Levison, Executive Vice President, Original Programming & Production for VH1 in a statement.  “VH1 has always been about shaping the cultural conversation and we're so glad to have created another pop culture lightning rod.  The show is funny, engaging, and it actually works – we've helped 6 couples find love this season.  You're welcome, America."
