VH1 Wants More 'Tough Love'

Professional matchmaker Steven Ward will return to VHI to put another group of women through his romantic boot camp.

The network has ordered a second season of VH1 Tough Love, which is expected to return with new installments in the fourth quarter.
In the second season, professional matchmaker Ward along with the help of his mother will be back to put eight new dating-discouraged single ladies through romantic training.
During its rookie season VH1 Tough Love averaged 1.9 million viewers per episode and a 1.3 rating against persons 18 to 49, according to Nielsen Media Research data.
"Audiences couldn't get enough of Steven's brand of tough love and brutal honesty, which is why we wanted to bring the show back for a second season," said VH1 executive vice president, original programming and production Jeff Olde in a statement. "Our viewers truly connected with the highs and lows of dating experienced by each woman on the show as well as Steven's distinctive male perspective. We hope to emulate what made this first season succeed, in order to give our viewers programming that resonates with their day to day life."
